A High Cliff Bride

So many beautiful brides – and so many beautiful images! I find the hardest part of photography is editing. Specifically – culling images the find the best. Sure, the occasional out of focus shot, or someone is blinking, is easy to cut out. But then I get 10 pictures in a row of the same scene but with wonderful little variations.

A shy smile in one picture, a serious look in another. One picture is playful while another is deep and serious; and this one has a mystery!

They all reflect the complex personalities of my friends and clients!

So maybe there is no one “perfect image”. Maybe they are all part of a mosaic. Each picture gives a glimpse into the unique character and soul of that person. Taken together the series of pictures tells a better story than any single image can.

But the story is never complete; there is always more to know and learn and capture.

And you know what? I’m fine with the mystery. Maybe the mystery is part of the fun and lure of photography!

Of course, maybe I just think too much!
