Just having some fun and having A Summer DReam! Megan, Karrington and I shot this video on one of the first hot days of 2020. It is so much fun to just go out and create something fun and whimsical. As adult people, we are pressured to be “serious” and act like “adults”. But who doesn’t want to cut loose once in a while and just like a kid again? Especially this year when it seems like the bad news will never end?

DReamer – Megan Pepin, Fine Artist
Megan’s art is her first language. She lives within the realm of creativity and imagination. Dreaming of the day artists are viewed equal to the presets society gives. Her goal is always is to build importance to the arts and artists equally. It is a valid career, subject, and study. She believes the next generation of arts will have more value if we allow it to.
“Photography is the medium I’m most known for, having practiced as an art form for 10 years now. As a Woman in this industry, I strive to overcome societal norms of success in this male dominated platform within the arts.
I speak my mind in self expression, and seek to show different perspectives of truth. The truth that this world is, rather than what it is trying to be. The truth of what beauty is rather than what they tell us it needs to be. That being said, beauty isn’t necessary, only the promotion of thoughtfulness. Beauty is a state of mind. Art doesn’t need to be beautiful. Not all art is meant to be liked, and we don’t need to be beautiful to exist.”

Photography is second nature to Megan. It will always be one of her greatest passions. She is mostly inspired by color, silhouettes, and reflections. Using them within her own creative process. She does conceptual, series, and story based work giving her images a “cinematic” feel. She strives to embrace a timeless effect in hopes that someday no one will truly know when she was an active artist.
