The last few years have seen new growth in film photography.  Film is timeless and has a quality unlike any digital sensor.  Portraiture with film is a more relaxed and intimate process.  It makes me slow down and wait for the decisive moment.  Film delivers wonderful skin tones and has a beautiful depth.

My current medium format camera is a Bronica ETRS made around 1980.  I purchased it from a loving home in Tokyo, Japan, and it is in mint condition.  Paired with Zenza Bronica 50mm, 75mm and 150mm lenses it is the perfect tool for portraits and weddings.

I shoot 35mm film with a Canon Elan 7n camera from the mid 2000’s. A great SLR camera it features “eye focus” – it focuses where you look! This camera uses EF lenses the same as my digital camera, so I don’t have to have separate lenses.

I offer both Color and Black & White photography.  My favorite color film is Kodak Portra.  For Black & White I use both Kodak Tri-X 400 and Ilford Delta 400

Contact me and let’s talk about a film portrait session!
