A snowy day in January is a perfect opportunity to do some landscape photography. We have been blessed with a week of beautiful rime frost. Not something that happens a lot in Wisconsin. Everything was coated in milky white ice and it was truly magical!

So I pulled out my trusty Bronica ETRSi medium format camera, loaded it with Kodak Tmax 100 black and white film, and headed out for a shoot. I also brought along a GoPro Hero 7 camera. I mounted the GoPro on the camera (flash shoe mount) and recorded a video during each exposure. Don’t know why – just seemed like a fun thing to do!

As an added feature I also developed the film myself! This was the first time I’ve tried to develop film. I skipped a step on the first roll – so no good. The second roll turned out better, maybe just a bit under exposed. The third roll turned out really well!

So the video above is combination of the GoPro footage and the matching black and white photo captured. Fun, don’t you think?

I used this developing kit – works out to be about 1/10 the cost of sending the film out…
